MIDI foot pedal
MIDI foot pedal
hi guys, need help. my band wants to incorporate loops in our gigs. i'm the one responsible for this : )
and since i play the sax, i was thinking of getting a midi controller foot pedal to trigger the loops. who makes them and how much do they cost? i need to know more about this subject. thanks!

i just got the fcb1010 and i'm really happy. it's a bit intimidating at 1st, but you get the hang of it, it's simple.
a lot of pedals? sure, once you get into it it's a versatile and powerful controller, but i'm already pushing its limits. but that's me.
Kimyo...what's this fcb1010 editor you're talking about?

this is a fcb thread from some time ago... somewhere down i have a link to a small summary of the tips and tricks regarding this footcontroller up to that time.
you might find it helpfull, but don't wait too long downloading it, as i'm planning to stop my internet contract at the end of this year (losing my website).

for what the fcb1010 is, i was happy to pay. i paid around $210.
the thing is there will always be more you want to do, once you get into things...so this pedal can extend to give you those options.
at the moment, i'm working out how to use it to control both my enqoniq DP4 AND Live at the same time. it's entirely possible.
though now i'm getting a hankering for a mounted midi pad unit.
but that's another problem.....always wanting more equipment cos i imagine the equipment will magically transform my abilities. not true. alas! =]

under 50 bucks? maybe you can get one of those numeric keypads or a belkin nostromo and play it with your toes... get a second hand small keyboard... i think you can't find a midi footswitch for that kind of money, at least not new.scottfro wrote:i'm looking for something under 50 bucks as it just needs to be super simple

dont roland do single or double pedals? http://www.roland.co.uk/prodroom_acc.asp
Im not sure if they're midi though.
Wouldnt be too hard to make one though if you just need a simple one, probably cosy you about £20 to make.
