have you tried it with the built-in sound card instead of the indigo? To determine whether it *is* a sound card problem?

im not sure about the indigo's as i have a different model echo card, but in the Echo digital mixer software, under one of the menu's there is the option to 'lock' the sample rate.

if it is samplerate related, perhaps try activating that option first.

I have the opposite problem, my Indigo DJ plays at half speed. Maybe we could hook them up to get the right tempo...

I'm in the middle of an (increasingly frustrating) email conversation with Echo at the moment, trying to sort this out. Is it your ASIO drivers only or does it happen with your wave driver too?

It's probably not this but ...

sometimes if you have something like an IM application, EG: skype, AOL, etc. or you have a mail app that gives audio alerts, or you have a system sound still active(!)

If any of these 'alert' sounds are at 22khz then some cards will switch to the relevant mode, EG 22khz to play the now "you've got a new message" sound. At that point your card will suddenly be playing your 44.1 khz waves at 22khz. or whichever way you have shifted.

this is reasonably common and can usually be fixed in the control panel of your soundcard.

I had the same problem with my echo indigo I/O when running live and a sound coming from google talk app.

Using a fixed samplerate in the control panel of echo fixed it.

Running at double speed with indigo dj

Post by Martel » Wed Dec 07, 2005 8:00 am

I've just bought my Indigo DJ yesterday evening and in Live 5.0.1 the tracks are running at the double speed!! This problem occours only with Live not with other programs like Waveslab.
I'll try to fix the sample rate and see what's happen.
If someone had the same proble and found a solution please let me know.

Thanks!
