Live 12 - Plugins folder structure (Long list - not showing as folder structure)

Post by BenjiBerlin » Fri May 03, 2024 8:30 am

Hey there guys,
I have just upgraded to Live 12.

My VST plugins in Live 12 are structured as a long list in alphabetical order for each individual plugin, rather than how Live 11 & previous versions would have them showing as folder structured.

My VST folder on Windows are named folders by the plugin companies, so it made browsing for my VSTs easier within past Live versions.
Ex: "D16", "U-he", "Waves, "Xfer"" etc...
After playing around with the "filters" , I still can't seem to achieve what I looking for.

Is there anyway of changing Live 12's VST list so the layout is folder structured like past Live versions , rather than a long list of each individual plugin?
Kind regards,

Rivanni

In Live 12.0.5 (now in beta) you have the option to group the plugins by creator.

Ah cool.
So it will return back to how the previous Live versions were, so the VST folder structure would follow the Windows directory's folders & names ?

As far as I'm aware, it does not use any folder information.
The plugins can be grouped by creator, using the same creator data that is also available in the tagging system.
