thanks a lot for the patches -especially the devices groups ones, some of them really sound nice and open new horizons.

i just have a small remark: would it be possible that you set the "transpose" knob so that the patches are at their *normal* pitch around C3/C4? by normal pitch, i mean the pitch at which you designed the patch?
this is useful to know what you had in mind, and it avoids to transpose the keyboard range for ppl who have small keyboards (esp. for bass sounds).

thanks again anyway!
cheers
I'll keep it in mind next time. I guesss i'm just used to transpose with a pitch plugin while i tweak. (part of my old layout for the uc33. A new one is in the making)

About volume 2......

It'll take a while. The other Operators are pretty busy. And even I cant keep this up all the time.
I actually need to work now and then too. (to fund more tweaking time)

If it where up to me. I would just make liveclips all the time for every free or cheap plugin out there. Build a huge sample library of Liveclips.
Interactive samples.......

Somebody will capitalize on it eventually though.

Thanks for the compliments. There will be a next volume.
But we don't know when.

You can use those patches in demo mode.
You do not have to buy the operator if you don't want to. You can resample the sounds and use them in the simpler. Even if you don't own the operator.

Even people who don't own Ableton Live can use those patches in the Live demo.

I'm not sure about the Liveclips though. I think they would also work in demo mode.

Yeah the only way i can use the operator if its in demo mode of course, but then i can't export those sounds ,, soo which way are you talking about using it without having to buy it ?

Check the manual chapter 12.6. (page on 160 on the pdf)
It will explain you, how you can resample any sound in Live.

It keeps saying the file is corrupt when I try to download it. Anyone know what is wrong?

Help

Post by simplyadrian » Sat Sep 03, 2005 8:01 pm

Sorry for the noob question.... Where am I pasting these patches? In the Operator/presets folder? Do I need to create a new folder in a live session or is this in the program files folder?
Sorry I just don't see the folder in the program files folder and I can't figure out how to past the patch into a live sessions folder that I create. If you can deciffer this message and you can help me, I thank you a thousand times.

just paste them in the Ableton\Library\Presets\Operator folder, or create a sub-folder if you like. There's no need to save the patch with the song, if the song was saved with the patch in it it will load no matter what.

First of all. Go to the preferences in Live 5. Go to the tab named "Misc".

Look at the library section. To see where your library is stored.
In my case it's /Users/Hoffman2k/Library/Application Support/Ableton/Library.

Now find your library. If you're on windows. This will probably be in the documents and settings folder.

You'll find a folder in there named "presets". In there you'll find the folder to store the operator presets.
The liveclips wont work if you place them in the presets folder. I advise to just put them in the library.

Cheers
