Managing Tunes, iTunes maybe?

I have a decent sized collection of albums and plenty of so called singles mainly purchased from Beatport.

I use iTunes to manage and play my album collection and like the album view.

I haven't imported my Beatport Singles to itunes on my new Mac as last time I did this each single had it's own album name and cluttered the album view... was most annoying when I imported all the albums to my iPOD.

How do you manage your DJ single collection along with your album collection? I am after some tips and ideas.

At present, I am opting to keep iTunes just for proper albums and have my singles in a separate folder on my Hard Drive. I mainly use the Traktor browser or Ableton to directly drag in tunes and I rarely give tunes ratings. I have been manually storing the singles in folders by Genre.

I can live without the singles not being on my iPOD.

Just place them in iTunes folder by folder, mass updating the Genre's as you go. You can list music by genre on every iDevice.
