When trying to install 32-bit Live 9.0.2 from a relatively fresh Windows 64-bit installation, I get an error stating "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect...".
Installing the 32-bit Visual C++ Runtime from Microsoft fixes the problem, however I'm reporting it here as the Live installer should probably package and install the redistributable runtime to prevent these types of confusing errors for end users.
Live 9 fails to open on Windows 64 fresh install
Re: Live 9 fails to open on Windows 64 fresh install
Hi,
The VCredist is in the package. But at times the installation can be cancelled due to racing conditions - if windows update is installing in the background, it will block the redist installation and lead the Live installation to finish up without the redistributeables.
We are sorry for the inconvenience and trying to improve this.
Best,
Mads
