Organising the Library
This has probably been asked a million times but I didn't see anything specifically in the 9 pages of the search I looked through.
Urgh. I don't even know where to begin with the Library. I have a big folder of my samples which I have places in the Samples folder called 'soundbank'. Should these ideally go in to the Waveforms folder?
I've never really understood what the differences are between clips, midi clips, waveforms... for example, in the Clips folder there is a mix of .als files, .alc files...
I really don't know what I'm supposed to put where but I'd like to finally get around to organising it all properly.

Me too. Anybody got any tips on getting Live and Windows7 library to play nice?Meef Chaloin wrote:I really don't know what I'm supposed to put where but I'd like to finally get around to organising it all properly.
Re: Organising the Library
I keep my own sample library completely separate from Live's library, then you can organise it however you want.

Re: Organising the Library
How do you sort the separate library? As installed e.g. vendor/product/item. By type e.g. drums/electronic/kick, or what?

Well, that's the point, you can do it however you like!
