With my lastest batch of vocal recordings, I'm not having any problems with fixing the usual sibilance issues (Ssss sounds) but am having a great deal of difficulty in getting rid of loud-sounding "F" sounds, that is, the air that gets pushed into the mic (even through a pop shield) during words that have a pronounced F or PH....
Not sure why this hasn't come up as an issue before, but it's bugging the hell out of me now. Any tips on EQ or plugs or anything else to help attenuate over-airy F sounds???
thanks,
-M

Re: Vocal EQ question, need help
sounds like the filter was too close to the mic, if its fixable, any eq dip will solve it, or de-esser. also compress with short attack. if this doesn't solve it, you probably need to record it again
