Arturia gotta say

Post by cmreal04 » Tue Jul 26, 2011 10:47 pm

Just picked up Arturia's Analog Factory - hybrid synth, and I gotta say it's my best purchase in quite some time. Not to mention I paid $189 during this summer sale going on.

You might want to check it out !

Arturia's CS-80V and Moog Modular V are incredible as well for soft synths. Very good analog modelling...

The Modular V basses included in the library are great.

I heard that the update to Analog Factory can be a bit tricky, but I have a Analog Factory and use it alot. especially for the soft synths when out and about, and the keyboard stays at home.

Analog Factory is decent for all those sounds, but Analog Factory the Laboratory is incredibly annoying to use with the individual synths if you own them. It's just so badly designed. The synths pops up as a separate window from Live (or any DAW) so if you click anywhere else, as you would to go to different tracks, you can't access it when you go back to the analog factory track unless you switch applications. Also I don't think making adjustments on the synth itself translates into the Analog Factory assignments changing. It's kinda brutal all around. But the analog factory on it's own is a decent preset bank with nice sounds.

Thanks for the additional info. I don't own the individual synths, so I've had no experience with that end. I love the included sounds as it stands and the hands on tweaking. You'd be hard pressed to even get a controller of this quality for the price.

I'm not sure even if would matter on my end or not about owning the synths, since I'm using "experience" I think the options your referring to are only an option within "Laboratory" if I'm not mistaken, and it sounds like that's a good thing.

There's a 32 key remote SL? Never heard of it. Actually haven't heard of the pcr 32 either.

Exactly. Never heard of a 32 key from either Novation or Edirol.
