I've had them for 5 years. Excellent monitors for me, but you should have a listen before you buy them. Especially if they're used! Good luck

I`ve also seen that they are not so good at low freq. end, since they go down to only 50 HZ? :-/

Yet people who compares them with Adam A7X wrote that Dyns are better on low-end than Adams, even if A7X have larger freq. response, all the way to approx 42Hz?

If you´re producing in an untreated room, or even in a small treated room, I´d say big bass is more of a disturbance than any help. Personally, I´m thinking of selling my 2.1 blue sky system and getting some small genelecs. btw. the 50 hz indication doesnt mean it wont go any deeper, it´s just not a perfectly flat response below that mark.

well, my room is like, 4m (14 feet) long, 3m (10 f) wide and 2,5m (8,2f) high, the present speakers are on the 3m wall, 2.5cm (1 inch) separated from the wall, and are approx. 1 m (3 feet) away from my ears.
i have some sound isolation panels:

the guy where i bought it said i should put them behind my speakers, but the air ports are on the front side?

i was pretty confused with that ferq. range, now it`s all clear, as Dyns have a +/- 3db variations in that range and Adam A7x have even 6db, i guess Dyns are "flatter"? :|

is it better to have them in the front...? never had a speakers with rear ports, dunno what the difference is, i believe there is one tho...

I`ve just get back from the city, with two ADAM`s A7X.

I was comparing them with Dyns BM5a, side bi side, and what i have noticed that ADAMs have MUCH more open sound, maybe more detailed, you can hear every "blip" and "glip", and a deeper bass, yet very clear,
while on Dyns, they sound to me more closed, not really "live" as ADAMs....that`s just my ears.

I have them. They have brilliant stereo field. if you have a small room they are perfect. They have Lot of bass for such small speakers.
I've had mine 2ish years now with no problems. Loud as fuck as well.
thanks.

I just bought a pair today and I'm very happy with them. I also check out the adam A5s (they didnt have the A7s) and they sounded a little to bright and not very accurate.

I also own A7 and I am very pleased with this pair. Great great value for money. The stereo image is awsome alongside side with the mid and high end repro. The only issue I had in the beginning was the low end. Maybe its my room (even is a bit boomy), so I tweaked the low shelve filters about 6 db.

If your ear gets used at them then u can use them for almost everything ( I do mixing, mastering and I also produce IDM and techno music with these monitors)

A think thta A7x and A8 would be even better.

I checked out A5X too, side by side with A7X, and i think A5X would do great but with the additional SUB, as they lack on bass due to their size, A7X just sounded like a perfect fit, i can hear low-end even better at my room then in their store, and my room is not treated, maybe because of the stuff around...

I think I should upgrade to 7x or even better to 8.
