Any soft synths come close to the Se-1?
Free ones? payware?
I'm saving up for a Se-1 (used) but thought to myself there must be a Software Synth that comes close
Ideas?

I have an SE-1
nothing compares to it - the bass out of that thing is unreal. Also, you can get some face fucking leads out of it too. If you have the means, you must get one.
I still need to get the manual for mine, and upload the latest OS version, since mine still suffers from the "zippering" problem when the filter and frequency knobs are tweaked. That aside, the thing is a blast to program - I was going to get the ATC but wanted more than one knob.
The presets are sick in this thing too - literally nothing about it is bad in any way - except, no audio input into the filter. An easy mod on any analog though... just gotta get a peek at the schematics.
