Nobukazu Takemura album "Scope"

I'm asking this non-Live related question here b/c it seems that lot of people here are into expermiental/progressive stuff. If anyone if familiar with "Scope" and has any ideas about how it might have been made, please share them here (esp track 1). modulaing loopoints? MAX/MSP insanity? that record is too beautiful...

My guess is something with granular synthesis. MAX is a good guess. Or possibly Reaktor? It sure is pretty.

yeah, icefall. it's the concept, not just the actual gear I was asking about. it sounds to me like NT is manipulating sequenced melodies as they play, along some prespecified note and tempo values. maybe I'll try to email him. I'm just crazy about that record.
