Question for Monolake fans, even Mr Henke could answer this

Post by mosca » Mon Mar 07, 2005 11:09 pm

Seeing as its unlikely that i'll be able to see Monolake live anytime soon (subliminal message: come to scotland) does anyone know of any live .mp3s or streams that he's done with Live?

just curious.

i'm not looking for any illegals here before anyone goes off on one.

Mutek has a blazing set online from 2003. I was there and it was pretty phenomenal.....the crowd just lost it.

Mutek's site is pretty cryptic so you'll have to dig around to find it.

Enjoy.

I was at that 2003 set too. Really good set. I wonder if the mp3 of it has the point at which he asks the crowd for a new mouse since the humidity made his track pad useless.

Edited out the mouse request

Unfortunately they edited out his request for a mouse from the set that is online...it was pretty cool. The modern version of a guitarist snapping a string.

yes the mutek website has tons of excellent livesets (and some dj ones)
i also suggest copacabannark (cabanne + ark) and the magda set (with final scratch)

There is a set with Monolake and Deadbeat over at paxahau.com - It's good stuff. Can't remember if there are any with just monolake. There is tons of good stuff there as well, and like the poster above, I strongly reccomend any of the Magda sets there as well.

there is a mono lake set in the betalounge.com archives. you have to register, but it only takes a minute and they never send you anything.

www.paxahau.com

he recently played in detroit, the set should be posted by now.

if you've never been to the paxahau archive site, you're really gonna freak out when you see it.
