Re: I can't fix the missing media link, Help?
Which devices use the samples? Can you hot-swap the samples with the ones you now placed in your library?

Re: I can't fix the missing media link, Help?
No you can set a folder if you click on the arrow next to automatic search in the manager. Searching in the library or a custom folder should yield the same result if the files are there. But the name has to be exactly the same. If you need song 1.3, it won't know its actually song 1.2. Extension ma...

Re: I can't fix the missing media link, Help?
In the automatic search drop options, did you select a custom search folder? By default it only looks in the project (with varied results) and the library. Do the files have proper extensions? Do the samples still load in other software? Maybe something got corrupted along the way. And what if you d...

In the menu, select "Manage Files". That is the proper way to relink old projects, individual sets and presets.

Re: Quarter tones in ableton live/operator
Ah, I see. Thanks for sharing.
Its probably best to convert some choice scales as internal presets instead of trying to make thousands of them work. I'm not even sure if I could tell if it worked

Re: Quarter tones in ableton live/operator
Ah 2006... I miss my hair... Quick side-note on microtuning, AMS files actually support it. In an AMS file you can specify a frequency or a note number in fractions. @Chapelier Did you find a good way to parse scala files? I dabbled with it ages ago and remember that scala files come in a handful of...

Re: Mojave Support
The list of known issues aren't actually different from a lot of current apps out there. Click ok a few times and you're done. Its not different from installing a new phone app. When Apple made the move to intel, Ableton had a beta out about 6 months before the OSX release. In this case, it might be...

Re: essential m4live issues
Has anybody looked into jit.pwindow being the culprit? That is the object that draws the waveform on the MFL device. With LFO and Envelope follower, the issue is simple to reproduce. And it messes up the interfaces of other devices, even on other tracks. All you need to do is load a whole bunch of M...

Re: Coordinating Mouse and Push while nudging notes...?
Not impossible though. Its in the API, so it could be added to Push.
You could have an MFL device with those functions, unfortunately you'll have to see the changes on the computer screen. (Or control from a device that isn't Push so you can see the notes on the Push display.)

Re: How to match a dial value to the actual parameter value ?
call str_for_value Parameter: value [float] Returns: [symbol] String representation of the specified value. call __str__ Returns: [symbol] String representation of the current parameter value. A dial will always be at whatever range set when the device is saved. So you can show that string in any te...

Re: Midi Remote Script - MIDI Out
The contents of a playing clip is something you could call up with the API. But monitoring live input would require an MFL device to relay that data to your app. I have the same problem to solve. I think the easiest way would be to put the instrument in a rack and create a second chain that contains...

Re: Windows Virtual MIDI
I`ve also tried LoopBe but experienced errors, and it is 32bit only. I use rtpmidi for sending midi data from LIVE over network to another PC with BIDULE (modular vst-host), very stable so far. The setup of rtpmidi (on all PCs in the network) is not as easy as with loopmidi, but it`s well explained...

Re: Windows Virtual MIDI
Thanks, I thought I tried Loopmidi but confused it with LoopBe1. This is very nice indeed! Even works with hot-plugging new ports while Live is open and I can use custom names. How is RTPMIDI working out for you Silentio? Been wondering if I could just wire it into MFL for unrestricted MIDI. Guess I...

Windows Virtual MIDI
I'm a bit out of the loop here. What is currently considered the most reliable and user-friendly virtual MIDI solution on Windows? Also, is App initialization order still an issue for availability of ports? I'm only experiencing issues with Live to be honest, but I haven't tried all the MIDI drivers...

Re: Note counter like device to alternate between values
Thanks for the device. Actually what I meant was cycling through chains for each MIDI note. So for example, with 2 chains: C3 -> Chain 1 C3 -> Chain 2 D3 -> Chain 1 ... Your device seems to be for polyphony, with the 2nd chain coming in only when 2 notes are pressed at the same time. Yes indeed. Yo...
