the whole pagefile tweak only really works best under older Windows version, like 95, 98, and 98se. w2k and xp do not get a boost in performance by tweaking the pagefile.

you could be using the 'DX' Indigo drivers not the 'ASIO' drivers, so setting the latency for your Indigo may not take effect until you switch to ASIO.
that's just my guess. i'm working with Live as I type this and i have no problems..

I think I agree with everyone in this tread. this is where i stand: i did not hear any difference from the Adamjay's files. That's great! I go for PCcard before Firewire anytime. PLus it has native DSP FX and a phono jack for turntables!?!?! DANG! This is a neat unit. And i agree about the filters, as an ex-Akai user i always wished I had EMU filters

my wife makes music like Mira Calix and she hasn't heard Mira Calix ever...LOL. in fact she doesnt like the music, she's more into Ashlee Simpson and shit. but she has fun making it and she loves Live.

I agree. on arrange mode you have a time ruler at the bottom of the track list. that helps alot. but yeah, a timer in performance mode would be neat.

I say no. Surround capabilities should be dealt with specialized and optimized authoring applications dedicated to that stuff. Live already has a high cpu usage which comes from the performance side of it, as (i'm assuming) to have a rock solid performance application, you need more processing power...
