hi alex, yep, i got the same thing with 5.03b6... altho i did notice live seemed to consume less CPU overall. the spikes are still there... crazy stuff the CPU goes to 100+ % (maximum score for me is 980%, which am quite pleased with!) then all the way back down to 5%. use the dark side of the force...

Not sure if its a graphics thing, but i am having the same audio drop out problem here... i seem to remember it started after i installed the first live 5 betas. previously, i was running live 4.14 which seems to have somehow inherited the same problem. system config: Ableton Live 5.02 PB G4 867Mhz ...

would be handy to have a side chain input on the gate effect, so you could send audio from another track to trigger the gate... or maybe even the compressor?

well, i have an 867 / 640 mb RAM and Live runs fine... as long as i dont go crazy with vsti plugins. Altho, i have noticed that beyond 50-60% CPU it can still drop-out! This is annoying, especially considering that apps like Reason can run at +80% CPU with no drop-outs. ok the GUI refreshes every 30...

i use it on the mac with same version of live with no problems so far. are you sending any midi notes from the live sequencer to the arp? i know the arp has its own seq but its possible the plugin will respond better if you send it a midi pitch from live.
