Re: NVidia graphics driver problems

exactly the same issue ... GPU and TI card were sharing an IRQ. I worked around the problem on XP by disabling hardware acceleration ... Once I installed Win7, the problem did not reoccur. that last part is not something I would have expected to see after Vista. No reason to upgrade, but I'm thinki...

Re: NVidia graphics driver problems

I don't know whether the downclocking occurs for you, but I don't think it's only caused by powermizer - it's an energy saving thing, which is understandable. Anyway, to check if it works for you... hang on... this might not be correct, it's from memory, and looking at the Rivatuner window (if I'm w...

Re: NVidia graphics driver problems

I was going to point to Powermizer, since I know some people had an issue with that. Not going to help though. The known issue with those Nvidia's was that when downclocking they caused huge dpc spikes (search dpc latency geforce / nvidia / video / or something along those lines to find out). The so...

Monolake Wave Field Synthesis

The unique Monolake WFS experience: Will it be mind blowing, or just good? Will the result justify the effort? We will find out on December 10 2009 in Berlin at Tresor from his website and I'm sure mentioned in The Wire interview , which is great by the way. But what I want to know is, was it? Mind...

Re: Installation disk for NI Audio Kontrol 1 - Anyone got one?

the drivers are included in NI's free downloads:

http://co.native-instruments.com/?id=freeupdates

I think that also installs the AK1 midi utility to allow the controls on it to work

Re: gimme yer sub bass

(mind you that most club soundsystems are cut of around 60hz some even 70-80hz in extremes maybe at 40hz never ever deeper (that is already hardly the case, 40hz, because a PA playing that deep sounds like shit), because you just get a hell lot of mud down there in any case) ... p.s. loads of produ...

Re: You think Live's reverb on eco is efficient? Try this...

fair play Tone. I like the integration and design (and colours) of Live's effects, so I can see the appeal of seeing them designing new ones that fill the gaps; but I'd rather development time be spent on things I cannot find a free replacement for (all the classic feature requests). Steinberg are t...

Re: Oh so want multiple controllers mapped to the same thing

I even saw a video of some guy who recorded/sampled his voice on the mic of the fly and then played and scratched that. I did that in Live with Ammobox when I first got hold of it. Not an easy to use solution though. Traktor's bound to be better for most people's djing needs, since it's exclusively...

Re: You think Live's reverb on eco is efficient? Try this...

Reverberate as endorsed by several on this forum is about 50 bucks and works great on PC. in fact there's a free/donationware version, Reverberate LE . It lacks the modulation of the full version, and perhaps is cut down in some other way, but I'm quite happy to add a little mod to my reverb with o...

Re: Automap - Kill me now!

I wish I could just have the smooth encoders with LED rings from the mkII on the mkI, but oh well. Still love my 61mkI. Mix it with Kore, and the two together are awesome. I think I might write to Novation and ask if I can buy 8 of the smooth encoders from the Nocturn to replace into my Remote 61 -...
