Re: WARNING POTENTIAL CANADIAN BUYERS

Oh, now they've done it! Ableton is about to smoke the terrible wrath of the Khanadians. In keeping with international customs documentation regulations we will not deface the GAA form, but let it be known that we are none too happy about it! Go get 'em Ryan... let them know this is not how shipping...

Don't know for sure... I'm certainly not in touch with any kind of audience, so it may well just be me.

Truly!

On drums: I still like to bust drums up some, I just think the beat repeat way is too obvious. Yes, like most things there is a balance to find.

Re: Who thinks their music is original?

Re: Who thinks their music is original?

For me its not the music thats so muich of an issue tbh, been a musician for a very long time. But nowadays with your DAW and computer capable of professional results you need some time for your produciton skills to measure up. Suddenly you have to be a musician AND a recording engineer AND a produ...

Re: Who thinks their music is original?

Neil and Matt, sitting in a tree... :D  I think I could be quite happy sitting in a tree with Neil. :) I suppose I am still on the jhourney to find 'my sound' in its completeness. maybe I never will. Each track I make I get a little closer I feel. Maybe it is all about the journey anyway. Fuuu...

I could've sworn you were doing kind of a Human League channeling Jethro Tull thing... maybe just me. :)

Re: Advice on which Desktop Synth to get

How about a used Virus TI Snow? It'd be a bit closer in price to the Blofeld than going full on TI. I use the TI keyboard myself, but I've heard lots of good things about the Snow.

Re: What do you guys use for drums and percussion?

I'd be interested to hear your opinion on that aspect, thanks. Stylus RMX is an incredible drum tool imo. It goes light years beyond pre-packaged loops. 10,000 single hits, IIRC. Edit groups, Time - wow!, great fx. More importantly, the drums sound very good for a lot of applications. I also use Su...

Indeed. I remember paying $750 for an 8 MB stick!

I've got the 2008 8-core with 6 GB in it. Never had any issues.
