Re: Audible clicks in Live 8
Am I the only person who has sent tech support an email about this? They have not gotten back to me yet but it has only been a day or two. Is there any reply from Ableton to speak of?

Re: Audible clicks in Live 8
Gotta bump this. I rebuilt my computer around Vista 32bit. Now I have this rather annoying problem. Same thing as you guys. Only happens with Live. Not any other program or stand alone plugin. Glitches when moving stuff around. Been working with live since version 4. The problem seems exclusive to t...

Re: What do you charge for a remix?
You are correct. What you mean is a 'creative' remix where you for example, take a track say a pop track, and then make a deep house version of it. Yep a creative remix indeed. Your post was very helpful though. The way I have started to look at the billing structure would be something like this. C...

Re: What do you charge for a remix?
You've kinda just told us "Look, I'm going to buy this car. It's not the usual white one I bought 2 years ago, this time it's green. How much should I pay for it." Fair enough. I would have given more info but I don't have much. This is an independent producer, the budget is small. I am b...

What do you charge for a remix?
I am looking to find out a what would be considered a reasonable flat rate for remixing a song outside of the "dance" genre. I am obviously new to the game of having people pay me upfornt for this job but am not new to remixing. The song is a commercial "easy listening" kinda thi...

Re: Saving Problem
I am getting the same problem over here. Live only seems to use about 2 of my 3.25 Gigs. Very frustrating.

They "destroyed" the tiger. Interesting choice. Sounds like something you would either say at a WWF match or describing the taking down of a building or sensitive documents. I would not say there was a terrible accident and my friend was destroyed by the car. Good way to depersonalize the ...

Re: Compressor question
I personally like to have many different types of compressors. Not all compressors are so straight forward. For example read UAD manual for the Neve 88RS compressor. It saves me a lot of time. Very little fiddling about. Three are others. It just comes down to having a handful of fantastic compresso...

Re: ALEX JONES IS RIGHT - PROOF
People with sticks making very bad decisions. Bad press on that level ought to have some type of effect. Who knows how much. It would be nice if they made the name of that officer public ASAP. I don't think he would feel so confident at that point.

Re: default mixer automation selection volume NOT on/off
Am I the only one that finds that having track "on/off" as the first parameter in the mixer automation list annoying? The first thing I go to automate every single time is volume, then pan. Track on/off almost never comes into use.

Re: Price of Upgrade to Live 8
As I said earlier in this thread I sent an email off to Ableton. I explained that I felt that I had "fallen through the cracks" by not getting a coupon. They got back to me today, Sunday offering me a discount. I feel this is good customer care. It looks good on them. Thanks Ableton.
