go on beatport.com and look at their house sections on there, and the charts on their etc you'll find some good ones

depends if your looking for big known stuff or lesser known stuff, or a mix of both?

just make sure you play music sounds better with you that always goes down well :)

highlight the area you want to render then go to render and the time span should be what you have selected :)

yeah i often double layer my kick hits, maybe 2 different hits (one soft and one hard), i usually route it all into one track and compress / add effects (live has some processing effects in the audio effects rack section which i sometimes use and play around with) from there for more of a presence, ...

i use single hits, but i dont often use live for the drums, i tend to use redrum in reason. im on mac osx 10.4.10 and live 6.0.9 and i get these crashes too, they seem to happen when i arm the record button and also when i try and render my track to disk :(
