I totally agree that this and the ability to group track is a must and easy to implement in live 6

I find it very odd that you canno't use ableton live in rewire slave mode without being able to use vst. I would really like to use samplitude or cubase or sonar 5 as rewire master and use ableton live as slave but this configuration is useless if ableton doesn't support vst in rewire slave mode.
