The reason that Macs appear more secure than PCs are simply that virusproducers can't be bothered to write virii to attack Macs since to few people use them. thats absolutely not true..... before the release of panther, 12 high end prgrammers spent 8 weeks in stockholm attacking darwin until they co...

I normally jump into updates but 10.3.7 slowed things down for me and I don't want to be bitten again. thats strange coz 3.7 made my mac real faster... im holding off for 3.8 though...not sure if the rme drivers will be cool..... i have put 3.8 on the g5 and its ...

It's also a fact that pc's are WAY cheaper than Macs. that's the deciding factor for me. surely if your a serious musician then money should not be no object? XP is a very stable OS......its just dreadfull thats all. how poeple can still use this type of OS is totally beyond me.... Tiger will be ye...

This optimisation business is silly. You don't need to do it, but if you think it's entertaining go ahead... I use Live on an iBook G3 900 with 384 MB of RAM, and it's good. Only thing that kills it is softsynths and the Live reverb - as you'd expect... -Paws erm.....your completely wrong on that o...

Re: RME HDSP 9652?
Hi Vince. I have appreciated reading your posts and hope that you might be able to advise me. I am looking for a "cost effective" audio/midi interface to outfit with a G4 PB (1.5 GHz/1Gig RAM/OSX Panther) that will be running Live 4. I need to slave the PowerBook to my iMac G5 which hosts...
