Questions for people who controll live with synthedit/etc

So I'm trying to do this. (Dont ask why yet hehe) I am trying to make kind of a dummy vsti. It doesn't output any sound, acualy sound just passes through it, that isn't important. So this vsti sits in a midi track alone, the gui has a big slider, and 2 boxes to input channel and CC#. Knob controlls ...

what instrument are you using that bumps cpu usage to 220% ? Does it do it with every vsti instrument? Sounds more like a bad plugin or something. I dont know what the RM Clock Utility is, but I doubt its your answer.

just use a multiband compressor for the bass/kick sounds, do it like submix style. comp II built into live can do a sort of funky multiband compression. i personly use endorphine vst for that kind of thing alot, or any of the other neat compressors on www.digitalfishphones.com they are free too. no its not a vst effect. i must be vsti, so that it creates a midi track, when pulled into live. its just for hosting other vst fx which can be automated by clips in the midi-track. could you do that? Yeah, check the link in my last post, its a vsti instrument. It does what you wanted. Did you alre...

so wait, you just want a vst (effect) that sends the input audio to the output? Thats it? If so send me a private message and your email and I'll hook you up. If thats not exactly what you want, uh, send a private message with instructions too and I'll do what I can.

I still think this discussion always boils down to people mixing up the terms 'mixing' and 'mastering'. Just do what you have to do to make things sound how you want them. Maybe you like how it sounds with some nasty DC offset or something. Or clipping the snare which eats everything for .0032 secon...

EF AVERATEC

I just wanted to make sure and reply to this one. First off, I'm poor 99% of the time. Like, food rationing poor hehe. So I had to get an averatech laptop (seemed the best bang:buck). So I got it, it was defective (2 weeks late on the delivery too) so I send it back. 3 Months later I get it back. It...

i am a long time buzz user, recently using live. I wrote a strange tutorial.

the begining part about setting up impulse up with samples might help
load impulse (a built in instrument) into a midi channel. *deleted the rest hehe*
