I think that is a thing for audiophiles. If you produce dance or pop, I think that is better to buy some "analogue" sofware remake, less expensive, more easy to play...

But if you're sound puritan....

Oh yes I've checked multiprocessor support for cpu but is already on.

I have a q6600 intel quad core...

I get ableton meter about 98% and cpu task manager is only 34-40%
but ableton 7 don't use all 4 core? There's a setting ?
