The weird thing about macs is its like they have a mind of their own. Sometimes they want to cooperate and when they do you wouldn't trade it for a PC in a million years but then other times they make you crazy because while they don't crash or glitch like PCs they have weird anthropomorphic issues ...

I'll try
I don't really use this featue myself but i gather it is for taking a track with varying tempos and "fixing" it so that the tempo is continous or changes according to how you specify. That being said their is an option to change the pitch in the same dialogue that I believe can be used ind...

Been thinking along those same lines
My idea was that you could have multiple looped sections per clip and then toggling the loop button (loop on/off) would catch the loop and then release it to the next one. However an autoloop feature would be much slicker. Thanks for mentioning the beat repeat concept though I'll probably be up all ...

multimix unreliable
Yours is great others have issues and im not an idiot I know how to set up my gear. My theory is that the cheap labor costs that they pay to keep the price of these down means that roughly something like 25 - 50% are defective (although I think they're getting better). If you get one that is faulty ...

cable shmable
I should have read all the replies before replying myself. The fact that the tecj guys said that you can't use a 6 to 4 pin proves that they are just trying to cover their asses because all you need those two extra pins for are power and they have nothing to do with data transmission. Basically they...

Sorry guys but i tried over and over again to make the multimix work but i have no answers either. Basically its the mutimix and the crappy drivers. The f-in tech suport guy at alesis told me i should try a different firewire cable (why they sell it with one that they think doesn't work is beyond me...

A B midi map retarded ?
AB select is lame I should be able to link A to one button and B to another button or have the option of assigning it to one knob or fader. As far as I have been able to figure out I can't assign them to buttons. Or maybe I'm just retarded. But if I'm not retarded this feature is retarded. But I'm p...

Audio Interface Suggestions
I have a 1.33 ghz G4 Powerbook with OS 10.4.6 running live 5.2 that I have up until now only used to sequence external gear. But I have grown to like impulse so much I wanted to be able to put all of my sounds together so I bought a Multimix Firewire mixer only to find out that it did not function w...

Glitches and drop-outs with multimix firewire
I have used live to sequence my external synths with no problems. I have always had something against software instruments so I never bothered but now I like impulse so much I want to be able to hear both at the same time. The answer - I thought was the multimix but i was wrong. Everything starts ou...
