Re: Everyone is buying Beats, but still feeling my beyerdynamic.
There's only 1 industry standard headphone. Made by Beyer. DT100s. So finally someone posting headphones which make Beats shine, or even iPod ear buds. DT 100 - the worst headphones ever made, ever seen in the studios - good isolation, low price and the most dreadful sound in the history of audio i...

^ you're right, there are plenty of alternatives, but trying to downplay the scope of Office is not going to make it any less of a presence. and BTW... i wasn't saying you are an "uneducated musician". what i was implying is that it is odd for you not to have seen Office being used on a l...

Truer basically means open design and it is surely defined by AKG 701/2 and Sennheiser HD 650 ( unless you have spare cash for HD 800)Big Data wrote:Definitely on the look for a truer sound.

Can we clarify something: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are used on a MASSIVE level around the planet...and not just by employees in large corporations. Formats but not necessary the Microsoft Office itself, plenty institutions use Open Office, there are many free and paid alternatives which are much...

Re: iPad
then you've never worked in a large office. possibly never been to college either. we're literally surrounded by Office and its output. these hundreds of thousands of employees aren't normal people? Well, that I am musician, and by grace of music gods, never had to be work in large office which doe...

Re: iPad
I dont know why any normal person should ever need Office. I am sure it is great for big enterprises with hundreds or thousands of employees but not individuals or small enterprises, for whom it is overkill. I regret not switching to Numbers earlier-somehow brainwashed that Office is the standard. L...

His music was part of my life since my childhood. Probably the most memorable was his duet with Ali Akbar Khan in Calcutta- football stadium, sold out within 4 hours and private concert in Delhi, Zubin Mehta sitting just behind me, and Raviji 2 meters in front of me, probably 80% of audience were mu...

Yea; currently I mirror a similar sentiment, but still looking to learn more about Beats. Seems like perhaps beyerdynamic for studio, Beats for performance? Got some exploring to do. Re: Everyone is buying Beats, but still feeling my beyerdynamic.
Wow Sibanger those quotes beat everything I ever heard about Beats. My absolutely fav : " They’re the headphones that artists like Will.i.am use in the studio, and are designed to deliver the same level of emotion and power the artist originally intended" - translation: "non headphone...

Re: Everyone is buying Beats, but still feeling my beyerdynamic.
Beats = ridiculously tweaked audio frequencies, poor build quality (at the price), questionable value for consumers (other than hype) as many cans @10% Beats price may sound better. Zero value, actually minus value for professional use - I mean pro audio, since if you are pro football player it seem...

Re: across the board, DAWs are getting shittier...
It is sad that reading the original post, there was no trace of "no, you are wrong" reaction. I would only add about Propellerheads that they are doing better (for themselves) compared to any other company, specially Ableton. The RE- rack extensions is a genius idea - let the developers re...

Re: Is my macBook Pro too weak to do video?
Well 8 gigs I got. Conversion is long! So the answer is yes: todays computers are still too weak to do video? Kind of never been and never will be, since as CPU & GPU power grows so are the standards. 320x240 was commonly used in 90s, even beginning of this century. Till not long ago 720x 576 (...

These are secondary factors, the most important is to have video in editing friendly format (QT in this case) and 8Gb or more RAMlapieuvre wrote:Thanks, I will try these 2 things:

Re: Is my macBook Pro too weak to do video?
it really seems my MPB is too weak Highly unlikely, actually as far as GPU and CPU go impossible. What are the file sizes, resolutions ? If it is HD you should use some lossless format- doing it in full res is impractical. Another thing, in video editors you almost never use full res for previewing...
