Re: 80s Production Techniques
I remember one filter technique to get an 80's recorded sound. I can't find that tutorial anymore on the web search. They would use a filter on the main channel that oh so slightly bends the pitch of the entire song up and down. The increments were very little so it wasn't noticeable, but, effective...

Operator and Sampler are fantastic I use them in everything. The rest have always disappointed me.

Re: dope matrix
What exactly is modular about it? Its basically some oscillator samples and effects. Is there even the slightest bit of patchability in it?

I found this very intriguing until you mentioned the delay. How much is the automation point delayed?

Re: Granulator II problem - only feedback
Every time Ive tried granulator II Ive had bugs and crashes , I never have trouble with granulator I and I like the layout better too. Once in a while I update II and then crash and decide to wait till next version.

Looper "replace" recording?
I know I can set feedback to 0 and overdub but while youre overdubbing you can still hear the previous content until the next pass. Is there any way to record a bar or two and then record overdub bits while it plays without ever hearing a layering effect?

Re: Operator Vs Analog
Operator can do substractive, FM and some wavetable. It's filters sound better. Operator wins hands down. Neoether of them do the "analog emulation" that well in comparission to today stuff live DIVA or Lush. I've been a big fan of Operator since forever, but wavetable? am I missing somet...

Re: Why isn't there official Obj Model documentation for APC40?
I have a completely speculative idea as to why, which is about as much as anyone is going to be able to give you. If there was an official reference on how to make patches that change how the apc40 worked then every hack out there would be able to make patches for the apc40. Why would that be bad? w...

Re: List of changes that typically break older devices?
The thing is, while there are many devices on maxforlive.com that are great there are also many that never did work very well in the first place. Like this device http://www.maxforlive.com/library/device/1024/apc40-utilities I tried it when it first came out and there has been at least 1 update sinc...

Re: Exporting to wav then back to live set (Audio quality loss)
With the original track? The odds are there are effects and modulations that will not be the same moment to moment, you could resample the audio inside the set and then try your phase trick and it wouldnt work.marcoskohler wrote:Reverse polarity and see if they null.

Re: Exporting to wav then back to live set (Audio quality loss)
If your master is not clipping and you render to 16bit or higher then load it into a live set that matches the original tempo you would need magic ears to hear a difference from the original content. Keep in mind that if you have a compressor on the master of the original and then load it into a new...
