IIRC from the beta period this is in Wave's court not Ableton's.

yep, if I'm running Live I just load up Numerology w/o AU hosting. Much craziness ensues.

If you're on OSX I recommend Numerology. All sorts of CRAZY midi modulations.

Request: Render to MIDI file

Currently independent MIDI clips can be output as MIDI files: Great! I'd like the option of selecting MIDI tracks in the arrangement then outputting them all as a single standard MIDI file. Much like Render to disk, but for MIDI. Reason: I use Live as largely a scratch pad in the studio (obviously d...

You create an audio track, lets call it "Drums". All tracks you want to route to drums go to the audio out pull down, and select "drums" as the output destination. You will then have to choose monitoring for the track "drums".

make sure in Live Preferences you have specified a MIDI out port. Then the you should be able to specify a MIDI out port from the session view.

Sometimes fault lies in the VSTi and not the plug-in. The VST standard is shoddily maintained, and you see a lot of plugins that violate coding standards. I'm not saying this IS the case, but it MIGHT be the case.

I remember in one DAW companies manual, something about writing MIDI clock simultaneously to multiple ports could lead to latency in some ports. Some drivers include a "write to all port" option for their sync. I'm not sure how this works, but this would be the optimal solution. I'm not 10...

AU clump support

Based on discussions with a developer, AUs apparently publish something called "Clumps" which groups parameter publishings based on their common usage. For example: in a synth architecture OSC 1 has various settings. All these settings for OSC 1 would be in the OSC1 clump. etc.... In the f...
