hi j4nyc is there any reason why you wouldn't mix them internally in Live? that is have both tracks going out of the one master output, and then assigning each track a crossfader channel (the A B buttons at the underneath the session view track mixer) and moving the crossfader from side to side to m...

the way fruityloops does it, cant be replicated to the full extent by Live as it is in its current state you could set up a chain of effects going through each send (you can have up to four), so that each send willl send some signal on to the next send (make sure the send outputs are set to Sends On...

as long as the various outputs are available to you under the pre-listening output chooser in the Live : Audio preferences then the answer is yes

usually this will only happen if you are using core audio (OSX) or ASIO drivers for your soundcard.

halt this is almost impossible to say, because it depends entirely on what it is that you are recording. Different instruments have dramatically different peaks and troughs (dynamically I mean) so you will set the gain on your preamp to match that. The best rule of thumb is to play your instrument i...

I guess it depends on what you use in a Live situation. If you are using the arrange view extensively then I see your point. If you pretty much only use session view then it works great. Another choice would be to run a midi program alongside Live (like Numerology on the Mac) and have that controlli...

Could you perhaps have the output of the recorded track going to sends only, have an autofilter on the send and apply some automation to the send track in the arrange view. Make sure that the send volume on the track is turned up full Set that area in the arrange view to loop and then play your exte...

Hi Ric, yep it makes sense Okay what they are referring to is to take the clip envelope editor out of draw mode (the pencil icon at the top of the live screen in the control bar) Alternatively press the key command cmd(mac) or ctrl (pc) - B This allows you to select the part of the clip envelope tha...

you use either the clip envelopes in the clip editor (bottom of the live screen) or use the automation envelopes on an arrange track to do any kind of rhythmic gating. Ric if you wish, pm with me a bit more of the article so that i can get a better sense of the context which is being described. rega...

Hi Ric is the tutorial online? There is no rubber band editor, in Live. Lives approach to audio is often described as elastic audio. Perhaps this is what the reference is? In which case the part of Live would be the warp markers, which you get to by double clicking on an audio clip in either the ses...

yes, that info is correct, but only applies to a couple of early versions of Nuendo on the mac side.

Cubase and Nuendo now use syncrosoft protection which is completely different in its approach.

Cubase uses PACE???

I am pretty sure your computer will be clean

As far as i know cubase uses a dongle that puts nothing like pace onto your hard-drive.

At least SX did when i bought that, but i dont have SX2.
