You can only render with effects in those two ways - but really, recording the master out, isn't this the same as rendering? It may not be offline, but its still doing exactly the same thing.

and because you can keep the preferences window open while still dragging files in, you can change the preference as you need to on the fly.

i just selected and copied a bunch of clips from the session view into the session view of a new song
