Re: am I trying to run my Genelec 8030a's too loud?
This subject has nothing whatsoever to do with rooms, Live, reference material, mixing skills, etc. It has to do with the size of the 8000 series speakers. Take a pair of 8030s to a big silent open field outside and play some bass-heavy club material through them using a CD player with a fixed outp...

Re: Decent older MAC?
I have the same Macbook Pro as you (2.16ghz C2D) and don't feel the need for 4gb ram, 3 is enough for my needs.

Re: Decent older MAC?
And sometimes a bigger 5400 drive can be faster than a 7200... much depends on where the heads are reading / writing: if data is on the outer edge of the platter, transfers will be faster.

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]
I'm looking forward to buy a Maschine, but first I'd like to know:
how can you shape Maschine samples? Can you apply any kind of modulations?
Pitch envelope? long / short decay?
Can you associate modulations to velocity ?
Thanks

Re: Problems with Drum Rack
I can give you a workaround: assign a pitch device to the fader of your mpd18.
Now you can scroll with the fader.
Used this trick with my MPD16.

Re: Automap for TouchOSC (ipod/ipad)
Trying your latest installer. Loving the clip status indicators! found that the label of the "all clip stop" button changes to one of the track names (did it once) mixer view would be great with the correct channel names instead of tr1, tr2, tr3.... Could you use a clipping led instead of ...
