Re: So, macs arent smart enough to automatically choose souncard

I was hoping that when I unplugged it from my fireface, and opened Live, the built in soundcard was automatically connected. It just doesnt work. Lame it's lives fault, other programs can do that, peak for example always jumps to the built in I/O if it can't find the last connected card, other prog...

Re: Creating an agressive bass-kick

distortion / bit reduction / overdrive / etc. and layering mid and high frequency content hits over the actual kick (metal body piccolo snares or other 'hit' type harsh noises, again just examples, try around), etc. and applying the mentioned effects (just examples) in various portions over the soun...

Re: i found the perfect studio monitors!(Genelec)

I just ordered 8030's. :D nice :D , welcome to the club! tip: spend a good deal of time setting them up properly (positioning) they are a bit fussy or in other words positioned properly you get a hell lot more out of them. follow the little setup card that ships with them and go to the genelec webs...

Re: i found the perfect studio monitors!(Genelec)

the entire 8000 series works extremely well with super low volumes or the total blast your neighbours will hate you (if they didn't shoot you) for. there is nothing like it that has such an equal output with different volume settings. go with the 8030s if you can afford them, they are definitely suf...

Re: Who gets on your nerves musically ? Why?

Re: I'm trying to copy this kick.

i think he is about to learn how to achieve results on his own. basically LEARNING is the way to go IMO. beeing creative with sampling is in another book. oh well, you are right, maybe i misunderstood him. i just have problems with questions like: "how do i make a sound like this or that guy o...

Re: I'm trying to copy this kick.

i don't get this, if you anyway want to recreate it, meaning basically copying the sound, why not plain and simple use the sample?, it's either way uncreative, using other peoples sounds... just use the sample and spare time and headache, or be creative and come up with a killer kick sound on your o...
