while i'm glad someone sees this from my perspective, i really can't see whats fantastic about operator. i've only played with it for a few hours, but that was enough to make feel completely handicapped. the envelope control alone made me almost go mad. i honestly think it's beyond repair.

i disagree. if you use softsynths you need all the juice you can get.

compressor has a minimum attack of 0.30 milliseconds, so it won't help you protect the sound system you're using. max output will be the same with or without it.

just do it already. i've just spent 10 min's on this forum because of this, when i should be making banging beats. oh, and hoffman2k's suggestion is exellent, go with that.

when it comes i hope ableton goes all out. something like having a groove template and applying it to a clip gradually. make sense? like you can with the current quantize function only with a groove.

so when i press cmd-u i get the quantize dialog but with a dropdown of my saved templates.

yeah, I bought this. quite useless I'm afraid. features are fine but the timing is totally off, resulting in some nasty clicks (not the good kind). dBlue for mac please.

CPU Economy = compromises in sound quality. Not what you want in a mastering limiter. er... excuse me? what i mean is that a plugin optimized specifically for use with Live is sure to use less cpu, right? and load faster, and never crash etc. i can't understand why anyone would oppose to live being...
