OT: post your personal IMDB voting history.
this place seems to be quite agitated at the moment, so i thought this would be a good way to kick back and see peoples tastes in films. i dont really vote on every movie, usually just if its really bad or really good. heres my top 20 anyway: (theres a few tv shows too) Dead Man's Shoes (2004) 10 &q...

Re: deep chord & basic channel dub chords production techniq
nice track Jeskola. I hate to say it but i think dub techno is the new MNML. its very 'cool' and 'in' at the moment, and the nature of the sound means that they are all very similar, identical even in some cases. just to say Jeskola, this statement didnt include your track, which was fresh, lush and...

Re: I haven't heard any techno yet in Berlin.
too much dubstep in berlin. its like the wave of bog standard mnml has been replaced by bog standard dubstep, slow monotonous chugging. so far ive been out about 8 or 9 times since i got here and ive only had about 4 hours of decent music. Surgeon, Monolake and Scuba!

ive been here for a few weeks now, and i can confirm that there is a very narrowminded attitude to the music.
waaay too much dubstep. i like dubstep, but waay to much of anything is bad

Re: Do I have to open a Live project for every song I'm playing?
you just have boil your 20 tracks into segments. usually something like 6-8 channels (bass, low perc, hi hats... ) + 2 midi tracks of whatever synths u might use. Thats what i do anyway. freeze and flatten the tracks with all the clips, then drag tracks into the browser, open liveset, drag the track...
