Can we lock a single clip?
I can't tell a single clip,in session view, to keep on playing when I start another scene, is there a way to do that?
Thanks.

Hi, In my experience with xternal midi gear compared to Cubase, Live lacks functionality, but it's usable. Sure every clip on a MIDI track that drives an external xpander has its own MIDI envelope settings, including volume. Regarding your problem, If you have several clips on the same track, say b...

1. That's because midi instruments don't have a midi fader for volume in real life either. But you could assign midi controller number 7 to the mackie. Or you could record it to an audio track and fade that out. 2. check your preferences  AND MAYBE YOU CAN STOP SHOUTING AND READ UP A LITTLE B...

NO SLIDER FOR MIDI TRACKS VOLUME!!!!!!????
 1.NO SLIDER FOR MIDI TRACKS = UNABLE TO USE MACKIE CONTROL TO FADE OUT MIDI TRACKS. Also if you use the External Instrument plugin, it assume you have one audio physical out/in for each midi track, IT IS NOT TRUE FOR A BLOFELD FOR EX. WHERE YOU HAVE 1 STEREO OUT FOR 16 MIDI PARTS, if you use ...

Chain device names while drag/edit CHAIN SELECTOR envelope
Would be nice to have the Chain device names while drag/edit CHAIN SELECTOR envelope modulation instead of % to see what sound is selected. Just do it ABLETON Thanks BTW, I won't be happy with LIVE7 until you give us Bi-polar Envelopes Modulation or Automation in session view...That is said...IT MUS...

Re: Racks and Chains - CPU?
Did I read somewhere that if you only use native ableton live effects in an effects rack that those not in use will not eat up cpu (and/or memory?), whereas an effects rack containing non-native vsts will continue to use cpu (and/or memory). How does this differ for an instrument rack? Thanks Macro...
