Re: Features you would like to see in Ableton 9?
i'd like to see stability in live 9.
real, honest stability for performance.
i don't ask much of live these days load-wise, average tune runs at 12% cpu,
with 3 fx sends, 8 tracks and native only plugs.
my system is clean and runs clean.
it still fucks up a lot.
stability for performance, please.

Re: check out the schwarzonator
perhaps the negative reactions are the result of fear- if we loose ourselves to technology, do we loose our history and creativity if the power goes out? that's extreme, of course, but there you have it.... it's such a huge turning point right now.

Re: check out the schwarzonator
hehe, okay - bitter much, guys? I have a quick tidbit of news for ya; maxxers have been doing this type of thing forEVER! It's built into like ALL the melodic sequencers I've done, in one way or the other. It's built into a performance piece I did once, controlled by a GameTrak game controller - ai...

Re: check out the schwarzonator
yeah, so you have no ear, are too lazy to train it...
so you just use this...
that could be quite offensive indeed.
that seems to be the future though, get a little, loose a little.
i'd feel like a douche using that personally...

Re: I hate improvised music
perhaps the problem with the type of music the op is talking about is that it falls into the category of music that is fun to play, not fun to be an audience for (unless, perhaps, you are rolling and anything is ok). there's a lot of that at shows these days, and some excellent examples linked here ...
