note: i think the guy who wrote those apps visits these forums often so I'm sure if youhad questions how to use it he might help

but try midistroke first.

yeah I don't know why but on my mac
if i launch ableton first then launch midistroke it simply doesn't communicate with ableton.

launch midistroke first, works great.

weird
no bigdeal though.

well for 1 usb will only support 2in/2out audio fine for recording 1 dude in stereo but if you want to record a full drum set, or a band, anything more than 2 tracks (1 stereo track) than firewire can support more ins and outs read the specs on the device some firewire only do 4 in 4 out maybe that'...
