Hmm... thanks for the response. At this point, I may just go with what I know: I've been using an Asus Pundit for the last year or so and it's definitely held up to the challenges of Live 3 usage nicely, even with a less-than-top-shelf processor. It looks like they do not make a Pundit model that su...

Re: PC buying help?

Do yourself a favor and don't buy the cheapest mobo money can buy. I can guarantee you that it'll bite you in the ass a few years down the line. As far as I see it, there's really 3 types of motherboards in the industry... brand name, "oh hey, I heard of that company before", and el-cheap...

PC buying help?

OK, so I am going to be needing a new windows XP audio PC. My specs so far are: top-of-the-line (or thereabouts) processor - either AMD64 or Pentium4 (advice humbly requested) 120GB or larger HD (I know 7200RPM is pretty much standard now, are there any other things I should be looking for in an int...

Re: Destinguishing Kick drums from bassline

I would then eq the kick drum OPPOSITE to the bassline, so that the kick had a spike where the bassline had a trough, and the kickdrum had a trough where the bassline had a spike. This would allow them to mix well and not interfere with each other. It really gave good seperation between them I thin...

You use it in Arranger view... Honestly I've never needed it (I find "duplicate time" much more useful) but it allows you to insert empty time into a composition. Pretty sure you just click and drag to the right, from the point you want to insert the time to the point you want the existing...

My bandmate Jut added some DIY shelves to one of these: http://www.zzounds.com/item--QLKQL699 He uses the middle tier for computer keyboard, trackball, and MIDI controller. Our live PC isn't a laptop, so he removed the top tier and attached a wallmount 15" LCD display to it... works really well...

Behringer BCR2000 Controller

OK figured since there was a BCF thread, I'd start a BCR thread. Just got mine today, played with it a bit and I feel like a kid in a candy store over what all these new knobs and buttons should be assigned to. 32 hardware knobs, and 30 hardware buttons (8 on the push-encoders, 16 under them and 4 o...
