As I have always said -- hard drive failure is a matter of when, not if.


Also, for those that didn't notice it, since OSX 10.5, during the installation you can choose to restore your data from a time machine backup. Good stuff. :)

Also, for #1, I've found that it can be very nice to work with really low resolutions. Making a liveset at 800x600 forces you to consider screen space more seriously, but as a result, you can read everything quite comfortably at a distance.

The very flexible programming software, 3 shift states, scroll wheel, and direction pad, macro abilities, etc., make it ideal for getting around any application. Also the ergonomic design is a big plus.

I'd be much more interested if the right keyboard more closely resembled the left one.. no sense to have a big field of buttons there when it could be more ergonomic.

Unfortunately, I don't think it would be very effective for this task... the scene limitation, effect count, and lack of complex warp mode (hi-quality warping) would make it a real drag to work with.

Yes, basically. You can also bounce down your EIC tracks to audio or freeze them... that will help in the meantime.
