hey, that helped plenty. Can't recall what I did exactly, but I needed to go into coreaudio and offer more in/out options with the ports available on the microkontrol. No thanks to the MK manual, I don't know if I'm coming or going. And I'm rereading what Live calls it's "remote" vs. midi ...

Remember, the encoders like everything on the MK are absolute in value from 0 to 127. If you know the value in the lcd for your encoder when it hits 0, it will always be the same number. It's still a lame, blind-in-one-eye kind of feeling in a performance setting, but it will offer you a quick adjus...

Korg MicroKontrol: No luck with Controller on Port B

I'll confess to using a technique of the craft: I've assigned multiple clips on multiple scenes on multiple channels to octaves on the keyboard. I'm setting the keyboard, even, to Port A to accomplish this. Also, I have the MK prepared to send MIDI clock info. as an external clock source. This is se...

rough guess: Look at which port you are sending sync info FROM on the microkontrol, and look at which port you assigned it to in LIVE preferences. I've had sucess separating the sync and keyboard port "B" from all the other controllers on "A". Truth is, I'm flustered by the diffe...

thats right. You can't do that. exactly.

Having the microkontrol scenes built around different midi channels will keep your paramaters from jumping to a new value the second you change scenes. however, as soon as you touch that knob it will originate at the value of the the last scene, 0, 67 or 124 as you mentioned. Not fun.

copy of my other reply

this is a copy of my comments on the microKontrol full key thread: I've always had a piano in my life, so if anyone SHOULD be a snob about action, weighted keys, and muscle memory, it should be me. Truth is for me, 1) smaller keys don't take more reorienting to than, say, taking a pair of sun glasse...

frankly mr. shankly I LIKE those little keys

I've always had a piano in my life, so if anyone SHOULD be a snob about action, weighted keys, and muscle memory, it should be me. Truth is for me, 1) smaller keys don't take more reorienting to than, say, taking a pair of sun glasses on and off. 2) the smaller keys allow for more interesting, varie...
