I guess you're right. I have only used the plugin for extreme effects, and just assumed it was just adjusting the pitch.
I guess the closest thing Ableton has to direct adjustment of pitch then would be on the grain delay?

Re: Behringer ditches Guitar Center and why you should too.
I'm very sad about the demise of GC. It's going to be like tower records soon. There are not many business's run in the world that don't have a dirty undertow. I can't get choked up about that because you basically can't live in the US w/o using things that are dirty and icky. cigs, dope, video gam...

Re: Logic to Ableton rewire
Logic cannot be slaved via rewire. It's strange that they don't allow for that feature, but to be honest, most people probably wouldn't want to. Still, I think what you're trying to do can be done without rewiring. I've never actually done this, so I can't really help that much, but I remember someo...

It can. Put a Frequency Shifter on your individual tracks or your master fader.chapelier fou wrote:This is total bullshit... BUT, i find absolutely unbelievable that Live cannot be tuned.

Re: keep clip view hidden
hmmmm, yeah. I guess I've never run into that as a problem personally. I just double click on the top of the tab instead of going to the triangle to minimize it. But yeah, being able to further configure how the program reacts to the way you navigate via the preferences is always a good thing. At th...

Re: Macro Restrictors + Macro Banks + Multi-Macros
good ideas! There are workarounds for some of those, but overall, yeah, if this was natively integrated it would be amazing. Also, side idea (that I'm still unsure if any DAW has implemented yet): The ability to assign curve algorithms to knob assignments. So basically there would be an editable z-a...

Re: keep clip view hidden
I think we're talking bout the same thing :D I might be misunderstanding though. If you collapse it in one view, it won't show up anymore in that view no matter how you have it set up in the other window. If I'm getting it wrong, is there any way you could do a video cap of what you're trying to do?

Re: Capture last take as recording
It's all in the title "Capture last take as recording". A take is a recording. So if you don't hit the rec button it doesn't record. If you're afraid to loose any little tiny magic bits of would-be-genious music, you can still record all of the time and then Undo. The other solution is to...

Re: keep clip view hidden
collapse the clip view portion of the screen in the window where you don't want to see it. Move the mouse to the top border of the clip view, you'll get the "arrow/up/down" tool, drag the window all the way down to minimalize it. Now it won't show up when you toggle between views.

allow for "cue" plugin activation / FX auditioning
The ability to "cue" insert effects in headphones before it's broadcasted on the actual track. It would make improvising effect chains in a live context a bit easier. Also, on that note, the option to add effects defaulted in the bypassed state... so, for instance, I can throw a beat repea...

But you could clean it all up by creating track groups?bjoeri wrote: I know this can be done by creating new empty midi tracks and routing midi out to the drum rack, but it gets to to messy with to many tracks in some cases.

Re: Freeze/flatten PRE FX
maybe I'm misunderstanding, but couldn't you just create an audio track next to your MIDI/instrument one, toss all the effects onto that audio track, then freeze the MIDI track, and then drag the frozen clip into the Audio track (where you moved your effects) which essentially "flattens a copy&...

FX playhead snapshots in Audio Effect Rack chains
similar to the ability to map key (or midi cc) shortcuts to song position via markers, it would be great to have dialed in locations within the audio effect rack chains-list that we could quick-toggle through, in addition to the ability to sweep through them.

More Zooming options and hot keys!
I can get around with the magnifying glass/drag, and I know about the +/- hotkeys for horizontal zooming, but a hotkey for vertical would really help out. In general, the lack of zooming options and snapshots is dragging down the speed and efficiency of the program.
