why i no longer care about jeff han or the lemur: http://www.star.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~kazuto/ looks interesting, but it looks like a differnt thing altogether it is different. but it can be the same. it works in same way as the han controller, with a camera behind picking up information. only instead ...

yea. you can do ffts manualy (PITA!), or you can let the pfft object do the windowing for you. the math really goes as deep as you desire it to go, and for what max cant do on its own, there are always the wealth of free externals (see maxobjects.com) and you can also code your own with java/javascr...

why i no longer care about jeff han or the lemur: http://www.star.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/~kazuto/ Yeah, looks like you'll be using that for music in no time! just like the han stuff, this one isnt that insane to implement on your own . all you really need is a camera and some max/programming chops. why wa...

so as not to overpopulate the cycling 74 forum (which is also an email list) could we have a new forum here at ableton.com? a place to trade patches and discuss the impending live/max developement? I personally have lots of max patches related to live that i would like to share, but discussion of th...

(A lot of it is just reinventing the wheel IMO, and it does seem a bit dated. For example is there a way to update the rate of the Scope - the shows waveforms - seems like it's only 1fps or something crap like that). the trick is to realise there are already many implementations of the wheel in max...
