I remember I tried it a while ago with 8, I had issues at the time using the same library on two machines. Maybe it was something to do with the audio files that were referenced in clips and sampler preset...

I'm beta testing Live 9 now. You may want to wait to try the updated EQ with 9 if you plan on updating.
