Re: Silent notes when recording with computer keyboard
Hello, Thanks for reporting, and sorry for the delay. We'll look into fixing this one. FYI, no need to save and reload the set, just turn OVR OFF, or disarm the track, and the notes play again. Also, it's not only the last note that is affected: it's the last note, and all notes using the same pitch...

Re: Must disable and enable output sync to clear problem
I use Live to send sync via IAC. If closing Live without disabling output sync from the MIDI preference dialog; when launching a Live again, Live's MIDI tracks do not receive MIDI from the other IAC port even though the MIDI track IN indicator flashes in the upper left hand corner. (Note that the a...

Re: Live 8 not recognizing mbox2.
Hello,
We fixed a potential crash on the Mac, related to some uneven sample rates, and the Mbox was in some cases involved. You may want to give that beta a try:

Re: Lost Technology now crashes Live
Been using this plugin for years now, it's usually somewhere in most of my tunes, unfortunately it now crashes Live instantly I try and place an instance on an audio channel. Consequently almost none of my tunes will now open unless I delete LostTech.dll from the plugins folder. I've sent bug repor...

Re: Abeltons Browser doesn't show individual track names
Hello, As far as I could investigate, only "automatic names", the ones that a track gets when you drag a device to it, don't show in the Browser when unfolding a set. If you manually named a track, this name should show up. Can you confirm that the above is true? Kind regards, Amaury But ...

Hi,
I can confirm the bug. It's in the pipeline, I can't tell when it will be fixed yet though.
Kind regards,
Amaury

Re: Abeltons Browser doesn't show individual track names

Re: Velocity ramping [solved: ableton sucks].
Hi, I'm not sure I understand what you're after. Velocity is something that is applied to a note, globally. Ableton didn't invent it, it's how MIDI works. Note-off velocity is there for samplers that play a sample on note-off, so that they can use the note-off velocity when the note end - for exampl...

Re: Does 8.2.1 'program only' include all changes and fixes?
Hi, You may believe it or not, but the "program only" installer contains all necessary updates for your Library, given that you have installed Live 8.2. If you get this installer, you'll see that it contains a lot of update packages. They are small in size because they only contain presets...

Hello,
If you installed Live or Suite 8.2 already, you can go with the "Program only" download. It does contain the updates to content, basically everything mentioned in the release notes.
Kind regards,
Amaury

Re: Not to normalize when consolidating ?
There is no problem when you stay entirely in ableton with your project. One time I had to give the tracks to mixing engineer and just consolidated the clips. He asked: "where is my headroom?" So the best way in that case is to export audio instead of consolidate I suppose. cheers Hi, Ind...

Re: Not to normalize when consolidating ?
Hi,
There are a few reasons for normalizing, one being that it let's you adjust the gain of the clip later while retaining more quality in the sound. What's annoying you about the normalization?
Regards,
Amaury
