I tested this some more after my post. I was able to get the dropouts occuring even after a few minutes of opening 2.1b2 running about 5 loops through the internal soundcard without any VSTs or Live plugins at all. My Latency was set to around 128 so i wonder whether that has anything to do with it....

I can vouch for the RME combo as well. The soundquality is wonderful and the latency exceptional. just note, that the midi IO doesn't seem to work on any powerbooks over the 500 Mhz point. then you can record just what you are playing into the master outputs

fantastic, this is so much fun

if you add to equation, different cuts pitched up and down, and different time stretch algos put on it, it gets really interesting

if only these aspects of the loop position and offset could be controlled by midi... Ableton?

wouldn't the new manual be an exact replica of the online manual? perhaps that would give you your answer.

Okay, I sorted this out the problem was that Live was looking for the Amplitube .xrs file in the root of the VstPlugins directory (it was in the IK Multimedia directory).
