not really side chain. side chain to self with the EQ active. should more called colored compression (tm).
idea: if you boost the highs / high mids in the control path, the compressor will be more sensitive to that freq. range. i think this makes sense. no?

@ Lazos: Oh. this thing looks more like it would work in a theme park for earth quake simulations. okay. here comes the serious answer. Take a vocal loop and try it out. Throw a Compressor in the track and play with those Parameters: Threshold,Ratio,Attack,Decay.
