Re: Unsigned/No Cost - Quality Tunes
Thanks for the tips. I just re read my original post... I did use the word quality a few too many times. To me, wading through the crap, to find the jewells, is the closest we can get to the days when hunting down that elusive slab of vinyl, knowing that record so well and the perfect context to pla...

Unsigned/No Cost - Quality Tunes
Apart from the obvious talent and quality tunes that we post on this forum, are there any other quality sites where we can download quality new tunes? My collection is mainly Breaks and some Progressive & Deep House. I am wanting to add some quality, Techno, Tech House and the like to my collect...

Re: analog isn't really doing it for me..
Anyone care to post their effects rack that they place after Analog?
Would half of these post's be here if Analog had a few effects built into the GUI and the presets sounded "phat"???

Re: aurex 8-Step: FREE step sequencer for LP without M4L/Bomes !
Great work on this BTW. You can place an external instrument after a midi effects rack though... anyway, you have found a solution.

Re: aurex 8-Step: FREE step sequencer for LP without M4L/Bomes !
Took it for a spin! It ran flawlessly and was good fun :) My only issue was not having the 4 buttons next to the on/off buttons (button columns 2-5) light up.. sometimes I forgot what pitch a certain note was on. It was still good fun! Thanks for sharing and I really look forward to seeing what you...

z3ta+ Crashes Live when receive a prog chg from midi keybrd
I can get z3ta+ to crash Live regularly when I send a program Change Message from either my edirol PCR-800 or remote Zero. Was happening in 8.13 and again in 8.14. I'm on vista.

Re: Easy one button launchpad as stepseq feature.
You can very easily and I have done it myself. I just haven't got around to uploading it as yet. Steps are simple. Create a midi rack with 16 racks map the on/off button of each rack to a pad on the padcontrol create a midi clip with 16 steps have each step have a different velocity (you could use n...

Re: Virtual Analog vs Wavetable synthesis
The above is pretty much getting to the point why I posted. I understand subtractive synthesis, and when reading about wavetable synthesis and looking at some of the vst's I have that apparently use wavetable synthesis (waldorf ppg2 vst for example) it looks very similar to subtractive synthesis. So...

Re: Virtual Analog vs Wavetable synthesis
turns out a quick search for Virtual Analog vs Wavetable synthesis turns up bugger all.
A search for synthesis types turns up plenty of info...
Interstingly no-one summed it up in a sentence or 2!!!

Virtual Analog vs Wavetable synthesis
A quick google search didn't explain it for me.
What is the difference between Virtual Analog Synthesis and Wavetable synthesis?
Are any particular sounds easier to create with one or the other?
