compensating a bus is a whole different thing. You can not route the audio stream of a bus back to a track which is fed to it. Live compensates latency for busses just fine.

Try your other hosts, latency correction for your scenario won't work.

It is simply impossible to correct the latency for send tracks which are rerouted to audio tracks. You would have to build (imagine 50's radio speakers voice with plate delay) A TIME MACHINE!! to do it. If you think about the implications it get's clear: Every normal audio track has access to all se...

hmm, sorry if i miss your point here, but you know that a normal audiotrack can act as a bus track? You can move it to right most side in session view, collapse it to make it use up minimal screen space and routing is just plain simple and fast. This way, the busses always runs in stereo (like all c...

could it be related to the project sample rate vs. rendering sample rate issue? Changeing the rendering sample rate to a different one as the project rate will surely lead to a different sound compared to the playback. Might be better or might be worse...

[3094] b2/3 - drum rack: solo/unsolo bug

I reported this issue allready for Live 7 where it is still present in the latest version, and it made its way into 8: Load samples to two (or more) pads of a drum rack instrument. In session view unfold the drum rack to view the nested mixer channels. Solo the channel of one of the samples by click...

[frs] peak hold has left the building?

The volume meters peak hold function seems to have been left out of live 8. Maybe there is some secret switch to turn it on again? I find it quite useful, so I hope its rather a bug than left out on purpose. This is how it look in Live 7: http://www.torpedotrickser.de/live8beta/l8b3-peakhold_vanishe...

[4552] transient detection buggy - sample rate differences

the transient detector seem to be very sensitive/buggy in relation to the sample rate of a sample and deliever quite different results. the screenshots below show the same sample resampled to various sample rates (offline with r8brain free). project sample rate was set to 44,1 kHz there are obvious ...

[amo] copy/move midi notes behaviour

in live 7, one could select midi note(s), press CTRL and drag them make a floating copy, release CTRL and press ALT to fine tune their position. All this without releasing the left mouse button. in live 8, this doesnt work anymore. one has to release the floating copy and reclick the new selection t...

great idea tarekith!
i also find the new zoom area way to small for fast working, it's very fiddly. It really slows down the warping process. And I don't think it will get much better "once you get used to it".

so the scrubbing/jumping function essentially only works for prepared clips? that would be kind of disappointing. What are the reasons to not allow jumping in unwarped files and in raw mode? Always want to present the preview in sync to the project?

[amo] live 8.0b2 - inconsistency? resize grouped tracks

In session view when pressing ALT and changing a tracks width which is nested in a in drum rack resizes all other drum rack tracks accordingly. This doesn't work for the new "grouped tracks", here it resizes all other tracks in the project even non-grouped ones. Would be more consistent if...

[4513] Live 8.0b2 - Can't jump in previewed audio file

Info view states that jumping in the currently previewed audio file in the browser only works in non-raw mode. But it doesnt seem to work at all. Preview playback works but no clicking and jumping in the waveform preview display. This is on winxp.
