well, this is about a potentially broken implementation of oversampling in overdrive. if it does not work as expected (which i think i found prove for) it should be fixed.

Also -- I just listened to (and looked at) the swept sine sample without overdrive played back at 192kHz, and there is a whole lot of aliased lower frequency content added that wasn't there at 44.1. Not sure what this means, but it's kind of more disturbing than the original overdrive issue... that...

[mma] - Overdrive - Oversampling broken

in case the new overdrive effect is oversampled it is clearly faulty. This simple test (project samplerate 44 kHz) shows no oversampling is going on. A sine sweeps up to 22 Khz and processed through overdrive: http://www.torpedotrickser.de/live8beta/Overdrive_Oversampling_broken.zip Once the highest...

beta6 still doesn't get the transients 100% right. not so obvious when zoomed out, but clearly visible when zooming in. The transient marker still has a certain offset if samplerate is not 44,1 kHz, which also is the project rate. These are zoomed-in screenshots from the second hit in the drumloop. ...

[5147] 8b5 - crossfade bug? - adjacent clip muted

a wierd thing is going on, might be a user error due to not understanding how exactly crossfades work. Anways here goes: http://www.torpedotrickser.de/live8beta/Crossfades_Playback_Bug.zip In this simple project, two clips are aligned in arrangement. Crossfade is active. But the second clip is muted...

i am not familiar with your sound card model, but most cards have an option to route an input signal directly to an output. This is called "direct monitoring" and allows for latency free monitoring of the input signals. If you need to route the input of your dj mixer through Live (to add e...

This is what i want to be able to do in Live that i currently can't. Notice the proof of time alignment by the complete phase cancel. http://www.rhythminmind.net/temp/Random%20Pics/sonar.png I'm not familiar with Sonar. But in your Sonar project can you activate a send in your "FX Bus" wh...

i have to severly enhance and sophisticate my routing schemes, as i seem to get along with very modest routings compared to others :D But i get your point. i use live hardly as multi track recorder/ classic daw, where complex routing setups are more common. There it is more important not to loose th...

I run into 2 scenarios. scenario one. Say if i have 6 FX sends & i want to render out stems for a remix or to import into another DAW. I grouped all the FX into a single stereo bus. As i did with my instruments Bass, Lead, vocals and so on. I wanted to send 8 stereo stems to a friend. It's ridi...

ah, sorry :D I might have misunderstood what you want to achieve. Grouping sends with delay compensation is not possible in Live, thats true. It might work with delay compensation when no other routing is done besides the grouping.

May I ask why you want to create a submix bus of send channels?
