you mean you joined an active directory domain?
why?
just plugging your machine into a local network would do nothing.
active directory adds a whole load of crap to your pc and registry.

Re: Snow Leopard upgrade - Safe or silly?
snow leopard works great. force it to boot with 64 bit extensions and let ableton have a whole 4GB to itself (if you have more then 4GB of ram that is.. I've got 8) and it's smooth.. sudo nvram boot-args="arch=x86_64" will alter your com.apple.boot.plist to load in 64bit mode by defaut (on...

Re: midi control of the 8 macro knobs, per active track.
this might be better done with a control surface script and automapping to the selected device will the automapping change depending on which track I have active (and in record)? the rig kontrol has 9 "buttons" and "knob" If i want 8 mappings on 6 different tracks, will automapp...

midi control of the 8 macro knobs, per active track.
i am about to delve into this, but i thought i'd just see if anyone has already done something similar or has any tips. I am going to setup a set with multiple guitar rig 4 plugins, all with loopers etc.. I want to control each one from the rig kontrol 3 pedal (which work fine as a midi controller) ...

Re: Apple's iPad - Lemur killer?
one thing: it won't be multitouch most likely. it will be dualtouch most likely. like the iphone/ipod touch, like about any multitouch screens on this world. the iphone can track more then 2 touches silly. the apple mouse can track 11 even... and it's not even a screen. i have a lemur, and i will w...

Re: Anybody using NI Rig Kontrol with Live yet?
I am using Rig Kontrol 3 and Guitar rig 4 with live. It works fine. In fact i'm only using it as an audio input, the output is out of a virus snow. So it would probably work even better if it was the only interface i was using. However I can get it down to 28 samples before it stutters at 48Khz 24bi...

Re: Thinking about making the change to mac....
I'll try to keep this short. I've been messing about with computers for the last 25 years. Unix, DOS, windows; I've seen them all and I can wrap my head around pretty much any computer problem. Two years ago, I bought a brand new vista machine. Performance was horrible. Fixed that and ran happily f...

Re: Can you hear what I hear in NI's Akoustik Piano sample?
If all piano samples have them...maybe they are actually part of a piano sample. Some of the Vienna Symphonic Bosendorfer Imperial samples have these sounds as well. So maybe you are right. What I am hearing after the lower notes are played is a sound like somebody saying shhhhh or a lightly brushe...
